Service Engineer B at Peralex Electronics

What you will do

• As a Service Engineer you will be required to perform short term and site-based planning, coordination and execution of planned maintenance. Coordinate and execute corrective maintenance, trouble shoot control systems to certain levels of complexity and execute commissioning work.

You will focus on

• Executing Capital Equipment installations at customer sites according to the ItP process. Be able to act as site responsible for L1 and L2 Capital Equipment installations at customer sites according to the ItP process.
• Executing, planning and coordinating preventive maintenance activities, ensuring agreed performance of Tetra Pak lines. Re-instate lines into production according to procedures. Executing installation of relevant rebuilding kits/upgrades according to procedures and reinstate lines into production
• Executing analysis and troubleshoot to resolve mechanical, electrical and automation issues. Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to enable permanent resolution. Promptly report and manage all discovered Technical Issues according to the QTIM process and when needed, escalate to next appropriate level in a timely manner providing a proper problem description to ensure rapid resolution.
• Informing relevant Tetra Pak Field Staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service. Participate actively in looking for business opportunities and share them with technical sales responsible (e.g. SKAM). Suggest solutions and support technical sales activities.
• Conducting relevant customer training.
• Participating in building good relationships with customer staff and relevant colleagues in own Market Company. Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times to ensure good working relationships with the customer and that TP’s reputation is sustained. Share knowledge and support the building of skills of TP colleagues.
• Executing and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely way. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done. Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all relevant technical documentation.
• Executing all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements and promote a safe working culture in the team.

Who you are

• N6/Diploma holder with a Trade Test in Electrical, Mechanical, Millwright or Equivalent technical qualification and 5 years relevant experience.
• Have experience in Food manufacturing industry, installations and/or service work, customer management, technical customer discussions/negotiations.
• Have proven to be a good coach and mentor to more junior colleagues.
• Have shown good leadership skills to be ready to start acting as site responsible Capital Equipment installations if relevant.
• Possess the ability to utilise WCM/TPM principles eg, Continuous Improvements and PSM methodology.
• Experienced in manufacturing equipment installation, controls/automation including servo systems, maintenance and/or service work is preferred.
• Understanding of automation systems such as Allen Bradley frequency drives, Profibus, Siemens PLC programming software, Rockwell RSLogix 5, 500, 5000 PLC programming software, Intouch (WonderWare), Device Net, ABB, Danfoss frequency drives or similar is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to and about 75% of the time
