Serviceman Trainee at Implats

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• To be trained towards artisan Aide skills programme/Serviceman.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Abet Level 4 or Grade 10(NQF Level 1-4) or equivalent higher certificate is essential.
• A minimum of Two years experience in the relevant field as an Engineering assistant is essential.
• Currently working as an Engineering Assistant on engineering fields is essential.
• A valid medical certificate or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.
• Obtain a medical fitness certificate (Red Ticket) and Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

The successful candidate is responsible to:

• Assist artisans in their job functions and also perform technical work by applying engineering principles.
• Successfully complete all engineering training phases and through on and off the job training to qualify as an artisan.
• Get accustomed to Marula Mine rules, regulations and standards to ensure organizational best practices and legislative compliance are adhered to.
• Work effectively and diligently with an allocated coach (artisan or foreman)
• Maintain engineering equipment efficiently and help prevent production losses
