    Session Medical Specialist (Radiology)

    Requirements :

    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and MBChB or equivalent. Degree that allows registration with Health Professional Council of South Africa as a Medical Specialist. Mmed (Rad) D FC Rad (D) SA. Independent practice Certificate of registration with HPCSA and current annual renewal practicing licence as a Medical Specialist.
    • Grade 1 2-5 years’ experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology.
    • Grade 2 5-10 years’ experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology.
    • Grade 3 10 years and experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology. Good verbal interpersonal communication, management and administrative skills.
    • Must be computer literate. Ability to function effectively and independently under pressure and to take initiative. Must be a team player and be able collaborate with other health professionals (MDT). COMMUTED OVERTIME IS COMPULSORY.

    Duties :

    • Provide optimal radiology services 80 hours per month. Assist with the maintenance of standards of care and implementation of quality improvement programmes within the department.
    • Assist with the supervision and support of radiographers in the department. Participate in the departmental academic programme. Support the departmental activities for the development and training of undergraduate students.
