Sessional Specialist Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeon
Qualification as specialist in Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgery. Current registration with the HPCSA as a specialist maxillofacial and oral surgeon in the independent practice category.
The following will be added advantages- Demonstrable interest in dento-facial deformities (Orthognathic); Rehabilitation of surgical patients (Implantology; both simple dental and zygomatic implants),
Craniofacial deformities including cleft lip and palate), Surgical Pathology (begnin and malignant); Experience in research, and training of registrars.
Duties :
Didactic and clinical teaching of postgraduate students mainly registrars in dento-facial deformities (Orthognathic);
Rehabilitation of surgical patients (Implantology; both simple dental and zygomatic implants),
Craniofacial deformities including cleft lip and palate), Surgical Pathology (begnin and malignant), conducting and supervising postgraduate research and service delivery.
Clinical teaching of registrars in the management of emergency patients.
