SHEQ Officer - Durban North, Red Hill at Accountancy Placements

• Our client is seeking an experienced SHEQ Officer to join their team and ensure a safe, compliant, and quality-focused working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of company processes and quality requirements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant SHEQ legislation and regulations, including COIDA and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
• Provide quality and safety guidance to production teams and on-site operations
• Oversee quality control processes and drive continuous improvement
• Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in SHEQ or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar SHEQ role within a related industry
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance
• Chemistry qualification or background will be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
