SHEQ Officer - Witbank at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

• This position exists to assist the site manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

• Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements Promote safety performance
• Conduct risk assessments
• Do planned task observations Conduct safety meetings
• Ensure team members wear PPE
• Investigate incidents/accidents

Operations

• Maintain good housekeeping standards Rectify process deficiencies
• Ensures production targets are met Maintains quality standards
• Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production Advise on requirements of process spares

Managing the

• Assign work. Monitor performance
• Train and develop team members. Maintain discipline in the plant.

 Administration

• Completes all reports regarding safety, production, personnel, quality control and maintenance
• Completes required ISO documents Complete incident/accident investigations Maintaining staff training records
• Ensure disciplinary records to be up to date

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12/N3 COMPSOC
• SAMTRAC or equivalent
• Diploma in Safety Management would be an advantage

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years experience in mining/construction as (Plant attendant/ Junior plant operator/ Plant operator)
