Shift Supervisor: Reagents Laboratory at South African National Blood Service (SANBS)

Introduction

• An opportunity has become available for a Shift Supervisor for Reagents Laboratory. The incumbent will be responsible for performing overall operations in the Reagents laboratories and assist the Supervisor Reagents Laboratory in their absence in dealing with staff related issues and handling complex technical functions.

Minimum requirements

• HPCSA Registered Medical Technologist.
• HPCSA Registered StudentMedicalTechnologist
• Minimum of 18 months working experience in the Reagents Laboratories
• Knowledge and understanding of Blood Transfusion Standards
• Knowlendge od SANAS regulations and Audit process
• SAP
• Meditech

Preference will be given to the HPCSA Registered Medical Technologists, then, HPCSA Registered Student MedicalTechnologists, then Medical Technician.

Special Requirements:

• Overtime as and when required
• On call to resolve problems
