Shop Floor Improvement Specialist at International Flavors & Fragrances

Role Overview

The Shop Floor Improvement Specialist will maximize the utilization and smooth working of IFF Isando shop floor process flows and systems in the most efficient way by using dynamic material allocation techniques. They will be responsible for analyzing and maintaining warehouse and shop floor, master data of all nourish and scent plants. Development of new shop floor strategies, standardization, continuous improvement and implementation of best practices and standards.

Job Requirements

•    Manage and control shop floor master data through regular analysis for the plant to ensure the most efficient use of resources of man, material, and machine 
•    Responsible for achieving the best possible production flow in the plant and convert this flow into a smooth working and invisible background process through the facility 
•    Cascade and monitor shop floor process and implement best practices as already existing in the region 
•    Contribute to and support the development and improvement of global shop floor processes 
•    Develop and analyses shop floor performance indicators in line with the global strategy
•    Training of new shop floor personnel and maintain minimum level of knowledge/critical mass in the facility
•    Knowledge sharing within the region, owning the manuals and SOPS 
•    Manage and execute below listed functions to ensure that the facility operates optimally

•    Ensure that all functions conform to the FSSC/Quality/GMP/Safety and other quality standards requirements of the company conducts supplier audits per procedure, if need be. Be aware and apply to role as required, the requirements of IFF external operational audits needs (SEDEX, URSA, ISO14001, NSF, LAS, FSSC)
•    Effectively coordinate with the interface such as QC, Warehouse, Technical Commercial Manager, Production and Distribution for an efficient, cost effective and customer-based purchasing flow (e.g. on time delivery and per agreed quality).  Maintain strong communications with these.  Aim at continuous systems improvement.

•    Generate and present relevant reports related to job function on the local/regional and level where necessary/required. 

Essential Requirements

Essential: 
•    College diploma/degree with at least 5 years relevant work experience
•    Computer literate with good working knowledge in MS excel, word and PowerPoint
•    Strong interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills (verbal and written)
•    Strong analytical/computational and problem- solving skills
•    Ability to work productively in team and matrix management environment 
•    Good grasp of internal customer service 
•    Independent-thinker, pro-active, results-driven within independent work environment context

Preferred:
•    Exposure in preferably in Food Manufacturing environment
