Sign Writer - Ottery at Food Lover's Market

What you'll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.

• Prepare rough sketches from specifications and plan the lettering
• They measure the surface onto which the lettering is to be placed and mark the height and position of the letters in chalk to ensure correct spacing
• They then paint the sign; spreading the paint evenly and making good outlines and apply a second coat of paint when the first is dry.
• Sign writers also paint logos and simple illustrations in some cases.
• Assist in the design, layout, and creation of a variety of signs using different mediums and materials.
• Assist in the preparation and setup of sign production, including cutting, painting, and assembly.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of sign-making supplies.
• Learn installation techniques for various types of signage.

Requirements

• Matric
• Experience: Graphic Designer, Merchandiser, Sign Writer
• Within 25km from job
• Clear criminal record
