Skin Care Trainer at Dermalogica

As a brand ambassador and esteemed trainer, you will be sharing your love of skin care and training individuals on the extensive postgraduate curriculum in terms of skin care products, ingredients, technology and techniques across a variety of mediums such as classroom presentations, online, in-store and hands-on demonstrations.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Execute the Education curriculum and deliver training and facilitate learning to the required standards across various platforms such as in-classroom training; hands-on practicals; live online training and pre-recorded demonstrations/talks.
• Conduct exams, assessments and reviews/feedback reports.
• Deal with any client and consumer product/education-related queries or requests as well as sensitivity reports.
• Carry out research related to class subjects and ingredients that can facilitate the teaching of the Dermalogica curriculum and assist with queries as well as monthly research.
• Set up for classes and coordinate outlying training events.
• Complete monthly and adhoc training admin and reports.
• Plan, schedule and execute college workshops.
• Represent dermalogica to the highest standard at internal and external events and conferences.
• Provide professional treatments to prospective accounts, social media influencers, and press.
• Drive sales growth through educating and inspiring skin care therapists, imparting them with skills to in-turn educate the consumer and deliver excellent customer service to dermalogica’s standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must be willing to travel locally as well as to outlying areas on occasion.
• Valid drivers license and own transport.
• Qualification in skin care: NQF level 6 Somatology diploma.
• CIDESCO or ITEC qualification.
• Teachers Qualification/ Assessors/ Moderators diploma is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• Experience with Dermalogica products.
• 5 years industry-related experience.
• 2 years teaching/lecturing experience is an advantage.
• EE Preferred
