    Snr Specialist Valuations

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Perform the Sasol Group and Sasol South Africa Limited valuations and any potential mergers, acquisitions and disposals valuations for approved projects. Valuation output must enable Sasol and business units to have meaningful negotiation with third parties in their dealings relating to Sasol’s asset portfolio and or investments.
    • Assisting with reviewing, analysing and evaluating group-wide investments, joint ventures, acquisitions and disposals. Assist in ensuring that transactions are consistent with the Sasol Group strategy and aligned with business objectives/principles and valued appropriately.
    • Review project and shareholder economics, including relevant scenarios, for Business transactions in accordance with best practice and assess the economic viability of the Business transaction within the existing Group investment guidelines, including investment WACC rates.
    • Analysis and monitoring of analyst views and valuations to identify areas for improvement, opportunities and improved earnings and strategy guidance to the market (equity and bond investors).
    • Advising on ad-hoc strategic information request from various Business Units (BU’s) and strategic initiatives to unlock/protect shareholder value (e.g. B-BBEE Projects).
    • Advising on optimal group strategic capital allocation (between capex, M&A and returns to shareholders) that maximises value creation and remains aligned to group strategy.
    • GEC, Audit Committee and Boards - assist with preparation of relevant board submissions and presentations.

    Ad-hoc strategic projects.

    Formal Education

    • 3-year Degree/University Bachelor’s Degree in Finance

    Min Experience

    • 11 years relevant experience
