THE ROLE

You will be part of a newly established development team, responsible for the upgrade of our core cylinder and gas tracking software, which is being realigned to meet our evolving business processes as we expand our global footprint.
Reporting to the Product Manager you will be part of the global Business Systems team working across our business using Agile SCRUM methodology.
What else will you do?

•         Technical refactoring - adopting, and adapting appropriate software development methods, tools and techniques
•         Writing complex MS SQL Server queries, stored procedures views, functions, and triggers
•         Collaborate and support business processes, engaging with non-development stakeholders
•         Developing automated tests and deployment pipelines to enable to enable CI/CD capability.
•         Adding API layers to enable a SoA design philosophy 

THE PERSON

The successful applicant will have a degree in a relevant discipline, along with 3+ years SQL and C# development experience working in both green and brown field environments - ideally within a logistical or warehousing industry. Previous experience of the design and creation of API layers and automated testing (selenium preferred) and deployment is required as well as experience of working with Agile and XP practices. Of advantage will be SSRS or Power BI report building experience, front-end framework/mobile development (React/Angular or Xamarin) exposure, Redgate tool suite and ALM tools (Jira or Azure Devops) experience.
