Job Description

• This role is responsible for leading the software engineering disciple in the design, development, and maintenance of old mutual insurance and reinsurance software platform. Software Engineer work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs, and ensure that the software developed by feature teams meets the necessary functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Software engineers apply software engineering principles to analyze user requirements.
• Responsible to design, develop, test, debug and deploy software.
• Monitoring, maintaining and improving existing software.
• Execute full software development life cycle
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software component into fully functional software system

Job Requirements: Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Java development and integration
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Experience with insurance software is a plus (TIA and Sapiens Reinsurance Master)

Education

• Bachelors Degree (B): Computer and Information Science
