Solutions Architect at IMS Ventures

Role and Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect you will:

• Be part of the product development team and report to the CTO.
• Work alongside Product/Project Management, and Analytics to anticipate the needs of new and existing clients and provide them with sustainable solutions

Activities and Duties

• Be a client advocate for new features, and to get any technical issues resolved
• Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
• Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
• Drafting RFQ’s & tender documents
• Drafting and critically evaluating business cases
• Meeting with clients to discuss their hardware and software needs
• Strategising with the Product and Technical teams to create customised solutions.
• Drafting and delivering presentations on targeted products.
• Conducting internal acceptance testing and facilitating client testing and sign-off
• Providing post-installation follow-ups.
• Developing relationships and maintaining customer relations.
• Supporting the sales team with all technical related queries.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• A degree in an analytical, quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
• 5+ years experience as a Systems/Solution Architect, Systems/Business Analyst
• 5+ years experience in the Telecommunitations, Banking or Financial services industries
• Relevant industry recognised certifications like BaBok, SeBok, Togaf
• Experience in digital or mobile solutions would be advantageous as well as experience in Financial Services

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
• Previous project management experience is advantageous.
• Efficient communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
