    Specialist Artisan

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    To provide multidisciplinary engineering and operations to skills to ensure general maintenance within specific unit of responsibility within prescribed guidelines.

    JOB SUMMARY

    • To have a single focussed engineering resource on a specific area (PH, Boots) in order to reduce machine related issues and thereby increasing the output reliability and performance.

    • To provide/transfer multidisciplinary engineering and problem solving skills through involvement in Focussed Improvement, Autonomous & Planned maintenance activities in the designated area.

    • Plan and execute all Planned Maintenance activities in assigned area within allocated time. To be done in conjunction with the engineering planner, shift artisan, production team and other required resource

    • Drive specialised systemic maintenance activities: Generate TBM schedules, implement and analyse CBM on critical equipment.

    • Ensure the availability of required spares for the area.

    • Manage small improvement projects. Lead teams through procurement and execution stages of improvements.

    • Attend to breakdowns, when assistance is needed, assist shift artisan and co-ordinate team to ensure swiftness and precision.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Trade Test Mechanical/ Electrical /Instrumental/ Millwright

    • Minimum N4 Engineering

    • Experience on high speed packing lines

    • 3 years Millwright experience in FMCG and Manufacturing

    • Experience in a process plant with a working knowledge of valves and pumps

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be flexible within pattern of shift work to accommodate factory shutdowns, training courses etc. and emergency cover
