Analyze plant, mine and process efficiencies via investigations, continuous data analysis and trend reviews to ensure optimization of metallurgical recoveries and achievement of target qualities
Identify and monitor potential problems and ensure metallurgical equipment integrity is maintained to prevent unplanned events and losses.
Provide solutions to process / metallurgical problems and ensure effective support from Process Metallurgy.
Evaluate process performance, identify development opportunities and drive business excellence by supporting all continuous improvement projects.
Investigate possible new technologies in order to ensure process improvements.
Supervise and control the activities, standards of performance and behaviour of designated subordinate staff.
Ensure training, development and succession of designated subordinate staff within section.
Ensure effective risk management by identifying hazardous activities and mitigation measures on a continuous basis and by conducting risk assessments.
What you’ll bring
A tertiary qualification in Chemical /Metallurgical Engineering BSc Hons
EB driver’s license
5 years associated experience in heavy industry or mining, (mineral separation, equipment and processes),
Technical knowledge Richards Bay Mineral’s plants & metallurgical equipment is advantageous.
