    Specialist: Product Management

    Core Description    

    • Accountable for the Management of Telkom's Product Lifecycle Management process, from concept definition through to product/ service launch & life cycle management, as applicable. Develop and support strategic business and sales opportunities, including development of new business models and specific consumer bundled solutions. Responsible for the financial and market share performance of the product through its complete life cycle in the most effective way that would optimise product performance and customer satisfaction.

    Job Responsibilities    
    Perform Situational Analysis and Establish Market Objectives and Opportunities for products and services:
    - Market, Customer, Competitor, and Resource Analysis, within internal and external environments
    - Define problem and conceptualize/articulate solution
    - Develop Planning Assumptions and Market forecasts and demand trends
    - Align with Business Strategy and Business Plan objectives
    - Direct, Manage and control Micro Demand Forecasting technologies and techniques
    - Develop Marketing strategies and evaluate strategic alternatives
    - Develop product/ service strategy and value propositions; product platform and line strategy; product/ market roadmap; strategic product portfolio direction
    Required Certification    
    None
    Qualifications    

    • Relevant 3 year Degree/ Diploma (at least NQF level 6), preferably in Marketing. Post-graduate studies in Project Management and/or MBA/MBL would be an advantage

    Experience    

    • 5 years Product Management experience in ICT solutions or related fields in either product management or development

    Special Requirements    

    • Valid driver's license
    • Willing to travel
    • Willing to work extended hours
    • To perform under pressure
    • Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency
    • Be a self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced environment that is continually changing
