Job Summary

The Models Data and Implementation team within RTF is looking for a Specialist Solution / Systems Analyst to work as part of a DevOps team, leverage specialist analysis & testing tools, frameworks, techniques and practices to elicit, define and organize business requirements. Translate & document business requirements into user stories & specifications (Full Stack, Cross System) detailing integration points, business & associated risk / opportunities to be realised. And following this analysis, work collaboratively within squads during design & delivery activity including assuming responsibility for manual application testing processes, frameworks & outcomes

Job Description

About: Risk Treasury and Finance (RTF) Area

The RTF department is responsible for designing, developing and supporting the various solutions required for the Africa CIB division, Absa Group including ARO). This is across a wide range of business units and operations, including Credit Risk, Market Risk, Treasury, Disclosure and Finance.

About: Models Data and Implementation team

The Models Data and Implementation IT team are responsible for maintaining, enhancing and expanding the models implemented in CIB in order to meet business requirements in regulatory reporting, financial reporting and front office business.

Education and experience required

• 6 – 8 years business & systems analysis experience
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in Agile Methodology & working embedded within an Agile team / teams
• Degree or Diploma in computer science, commerce or business administration
• Information Systems Analyst certification advantageous
• Banking domain experience, preferred.
• Testing Certification (preferred)
• Experience in systems in Development
• Experience in Business Continuity Management & Disaster Recovery
• Experience in Governance, Compliance & Audit
• Experience in Quality Assurance & Testing.
• Experience in Systems & integration design

Skill required:

• SQL or any other relational database experience. Especially writing basic queries, select, join, look-ups, update.
• Excel – Pivot tables
• Data Validation
• Experience with SAS programming and coding
• Atlassian
• Big Data Concept
• AWS

Key accountabilities:

• Analysis (including Business Case)
• Solution Design (within DevOps Context)
• Solution Delivery & Testing
• Focus on data interrogation skills as part of data preparation and models business support

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology (Required)
