    Stakeholder and Licencing Manager

    Job Description

    • This role is responsible for supporting the performance of the exploration portfolio, through playing a proactive, front-line role in collaborating with all key stakeholders to ensure efficient and sustainable access to and compliant management of the mineral rights/licence portfolio.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Manage administration processes to support current and/or new mineral rights/licences.
    • Proactively manage correspondence with DMRE, engaging with Anglo Legal and GMO, when required.
    • Work closely with De Beers Group/GMO PCA to ensure holistic implementation of a stakeholder relations management plan by ensuring alignment with South African legislation and De Beers PLC policies.
    • Create and foster key relationships: local/regional government, traditional leaders.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships and partnering with external providers, communities and related stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of objectives
    • Ensure corporate governance requirements in technical assurance, occupational health and safety, and environment are in place for projects and all staff (contract and permanent) and that equipment complies with governance, safety, and security standards and policies.
    • Implement and participate in ECOHS campaigns as scheduled.

    Qualifications
    Formal Qualifications:

    • Degree (Hons) in Environmental Science/ Geoscience
    • Degree (Hons) in Business Management /Law /Communications

    Role-specific Knowledge:

    • Significant experience in Stakeholder Relations and/or minerals rights licencing processes, particularly in South Africa.
    • Knowledge and experience of the MPRDA, NEMA and associated relevant legislation.
    • Broad understanding of Mining and related legislations and the De Beers value chain.
