Store Facilities Manager: Store Development at TFG (The Foschini Group)

A great opportunity has become available for a Store Facilities Manager, Store Development within TFG. The successful incumbent will be accountable for handling all operational maintenance queries across TFG Africa stores, ensuring minimal impact on trade at all times. This role requires strong budgeting insight, administration and communication at all levels both within the group and external suppliers.

Responsibilities: 

• Accountable for all Maintenance Related queries across TFG Africa Stores, ensuring minimal impact on trade at all times.
• Ensuring all stores that are burgled or damaged are operational ASAP and are secured at all time, this includes weekend and after hours.
• Oversee and manage all facets of Store Facilities team as well as Small works (Operational, HR, cost centre budgets, admin processes, audit compliance etc).
• Accountable for managing Maintenance budgets in line with allocated budgets across all TFG Africa stores (roughly R60 mill per annum).
• Accountable for budget proposals to all TFG Africa Trading divisions.
• Interact with Heads of Business on all Store Facilities escalated or serious queries and manage significant impact to trade situations (Flood damage, Fire damage, Riot / Protest damage and OHASA implications) including Landlord liaison.
• Supplier relations management, including SLA Scorecards.
• Work closely with TFG SD Compliance to ensure all existing stores achieve required documentation (Coc ’s / OC etc), to be able to continue trading.
• Accountable for selected/appointed Small Work Projects into facilities team according to SD programme and timeous delivery of such projects.
• Monthly meetings with Trading Divisions Finance Managers / Ops Managers to advice and guide on Monthly maintenance report breakdown and financials.
• Meet with Design and Procurement Managers to discuss allocated “Small Works” rollout details.
• Sit on TFG SD Operations team and attend monthly meetings, with strategic input into TFG SD operations.
• Attend bi-weekly Forensics Meetings.
• Work closely with TFG Forensics to recover, restore and secure stores post burglaries and armed robberies.
• In put into store design and procurement wrt non sustainable applications / F&F / builds etc.
• Co-owner of energy management project (reduction in electrical consumption and associated costs).
• All after hour’s emergency store repairs resulting from store break-in and required corrective actions to achieve tradable store within the shortest recovery time possible. 

Requirements: 

• Completed Matric or a tertiary qualification in Facilities Management/ Project Management/ Building Management
• At least 3 – 4 years previous experience in store operations or store retail field experience
• Strong budgeting insight, administration & communications at all levels both within Group and external suppliers
• Excel, SAP, Arcubus Facilities management software (Coupa training will be given on site)
