Storeman at MA Automotive Tool & Die (Pty) Ltd

Primary purpose of the job:

• To receive, check, store, and issue goods to the relevant departments.

Key Performance Areas:

• Receive & unpack incoming goods.
• Check the quantity and quality of delivered goods.
• Store received goods in allocated shelves.
• Issue the goods.
• Place orders of low stock items on SAP.
• Ensure correct filing & documentation control.
• Ensure the availability of petrol and diesel for all plants.
• Supervise and operate the store.
• Do weekly cycle count.
• Participate actively in the departmental meetings as per company requirement.
• Ensure that work practices comply with the company SHE procedures and Work Instructions.

Knowledge required:

• Understanding of purchasing function in an automotive environment.
• Knowledge of store items within an automotive environment.
• Knowledge of receiving / issuing / ordering.

Skills required:

• Basic Computer.
• Communication and interpersonal.
• Problem solving.

Minimum Requirements:

• NQF Educational level 4.
• SAP will be advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years general purchasing and stores experience within an automotive environment.
• Minimum 1-year previous storekeeping experience.
• Forklift License.
