    Strategic Execution Lead

    Job Description

    • To take responsibility for creating and contextualizing operational strategies for that aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and digitization. The role acts as a business architect bridging the gap between business and technology, will lead a team and work with business leaders to craft solutions that are fit for purpose.

    Are you someone who can:  ​

    • Developing and executing strategic plans of the Business Unit/Segment to achieve the organization's goals and objectives. This involves conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying growth opportunities.
    • Planning and executing innovation and emerging business projects to take new ideas/opportunities from the ideation phase to the incubation phase of the R&D process.
    • Works with business leaders to facilitate real understanding of the direction chosen.
    • Facilitates acceptance of commitment to strategic goals and business plans.
    • Ensures continuous communication of the strategic direction to the business.
    • Drives the strategy process into the business by working with the business leaders to facilitate understanding of the direction chosen.
    • Supports the development of business plan and actions.
    • Evaluating the competitive landscape and assessing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) of the organization. This helps in identifying areas where the company can gain a competitive advantage and mitigate potential risks.
    • Analyzes the industry and market trends and determine new and potential business capabilities.
    • Collaborating across business segments to both find opportunities for and showcase ideas in the Innovation and emerging business pipeline.
    • Assessing the economic impact of various business decisions and evaluating the financial feasibility of new projects or initiatives. This may include conducting cost-benefit analyses, evaluating investment opportunities, and assessing the potential risks and rewards.
    • Accountable for expense analysis and controls.
    • Accountable for building the business plan bottom-up with the business leaders.
    • Tracking and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies and initiatives. This involves analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing recommendations for improvement.
    • Maintains work plans, incident tracking, error tracking, and documentation required to effectively manage deliverables and expectations consistent with business requirements.
    • Creating business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems inter-operate within the organization.
    • Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating ideas, projects, and opportunities to develop new products, new technologies, and business models for the business segment.
    • Ensure solutions developed across organization are aligned to business architecture standards and FM principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits).
    • Provide architectural oversight of projects; ensure requirements are in alignment with business strategies and business architecture roadmap/framework.
    • Take ownership and a ‘hands on’ approach to define and deliver a program of work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of a core business process.
    • Prioritize change and how to manage multiple related change programs.
    • Assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues.
    • Collaborating with various departments within the organization, such as human resources finance, marketing, operations and strategy to align strategies and ensure their successful implementation.
    • Working with technical and business teams to evaluate new and emerging technologies, vendors, and business models.
    • Partners with the IT architecture team in developing an IT framework that aligns with the business plan.
    • Functions as a liaison to Business and IT partners in order to gain a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology.
    • In conjunction with business partners, initiate IT project requests, perform/lead initial analysis of the request, and provide initial assessment and estimation of the effort.
    • Presenting findings, recommendations, and strategic plans to senior management or clients. This requires excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Leads Senior Management through the development of a business architecture plan for the line of business. Evaluate and present information that will facilitate effective and timely decision-making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations.
    • Leads the effort to work with business leaders to identify business capability needs and prioritization.
    • Leads the effort to identify and document capability and initiative needs and strategic prioritization into business architecture deliverables (roadmaps etc.)

    You will be an ideal candidate if you have the following:

    Qualifications

    • Minimum qualification: a post-graduate or honours degree in a relevant field such as Finance, BS Computer Science, or a related discipline
    • Preferred qualification: a master’s degree  in a relevant field such as Finance, BS Computer Science, or a related discipline or an MBA

    Experience and Skills

    •  5 - 7 years experience in multi-disciplinary application of wide knowledge spanning business and technology.
    • Experience in planning, analysis, design, and implementation of business & IT initiatives
    • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate, or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
    • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques. appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualisations.
