Key Performance Output 

The successful candidate for King Shaka International Airport will be reporting to the Manager Building and Facilities Maintenance, and will be responsible but not limited to the following: 

• Manage Service Level Agreements (Maintenance and Supply). 
• Conduct continuous audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial actions where required.
• Effectively keep record of all contractor interactions. 
• Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received
• Manage contractor procurement Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Shared Services (SSC) processes. 
• Adhere to relevant statutory and legislative regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), operational standards, policies, and practices
• Ensure compliance to relevant statutory and legislative regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), operational standards, policies, and practices. 
• Maintain and/or manage material and spares. 
• Consult and give support in facilities management services. 
• Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of equipment / infrastructure. 
• Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades / replacement of assets. 
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budget in relevant area. 
• Provide input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of assets. 
• Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis.

Technical Skills and Experience 

The following skills and experience will be required: 

• Diploma in Building Environment is essential. 
• Project Implementation experience strongly recommended 
• 1- 3 years operational experience in Building environment is essential. 
• Code B - Motor vehicle licence
