    Supply Chain Executive

    Job Function

    To provide general support to Supply Chain and distributor partnership activities to ensure consistent supply throughout the value chain for all Market Access principals. Engage Supply Chain network regularly to ensure forecasts /orders are submitted and replenishment orders are executed timeously. Liaise with internal partners on stock queries and swift resolution thereof. Provide internal updates on monthly replenishments and Supply Chain activities.

    Key performance areas:

    Demand planning:

    • Collation of data provided by Team / Principals and its trading partners to inform the creation of a consensus forecast.
    • Ongoing demand analysis to inform inventory levels, order cycles and trends in sales for the products

    Supply planning and buying input:

    • Calculating suggested replenishment orders (based on pre-agreed order assumptions).
    • Collaborating with Team / Principals to agree preliminary orders with principles and coordinating sign-off of final orders

    Supply Chain visibility and analytics to support operational decision making, performance monitoring and drive improvement insights:

    • Verification of data provided by Team / Principal and its trading partners into the supporting tools.
    • Monitor data for exceptions, conduct analysis to trend and report on supply, demand and sale performance.
    • Establish, monitor and report on agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).

    Sales and Operations Planning:

    • Stakeholder engagement (Team / Principals and its trading partners) and alignment to obtain consensus demand plans as well as supply plans
    • Ad hoc reporting and data analysis
    • Aggressively drive Supply Chain optimization to maximize sales and total partnership potential through excellence programs, best practices sharing, training, coaching and support.
    • Meet Principal Stock Holding expectation towards market growth as per Principal agreements as well as drive & manage the performance within the Supply Chain.
    • Regular follow up on Import Declaration Form (IDFs), ensuring action and timeous approval for replenishment of stock.
    • Highlight and mitigate areas of non-performance and potential project gaps while prioritizing those needing action and escalation to prevent delays in execution.
    • Review short-dated stock and bond expiry lists regularly and initiate Supply Planning actions where needed.
    • Collaborate with Healthcare Services (sales/demand creation) in defining, planning and executing of the Principals’ in-country sales plans.
    • Ensure contractually compliant data collection and analysis in support of contractual requirements and to help drive effective in-market decision making as well as drive brand growth throughout the Supply Chain.
    • Agree, track and monitor related Supply Chain KPIs with all service providers.
    • Track Principals Budgets and report provision/shortfall requirements to finance

    Nature of position

    • Permanent

    Qualifications required

    • Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Commerce Degree/ National Diploma or Equivalent

    Skills and experience required

    • Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years specialist experience.
    • Experience in end to end Supply Chain operations management including inbound management, with proven track record in healthcare in Africa.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
    • Proficient Supply Chain Management Knowledge and / or Skill.
    • Proficient Distribution Planning Knowledge and / or Skill.
    • Proficient Problem Solving Knowledge and / or Skill.
    • Proficient Negotiation Knowledge and / or Skill.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to engage, collaborate and influence at all organizational and management levels.
    • Ability to deliver tailored solutions to our Principals.
    • Ability to design and deliver effective customer engagement programs.
    • Ability to work independently, analyse a situation accurately, make decisions independently and take effective action.
