A vacancy exists for a Supply Manager based at Head Office (Dunkeld) reporting into the Category Manager. The role is responsible for the effective management of tenders, contracts and cost across commodities utilised within Life Healthcare. The incumbent will ensure vendor compliance with contractual and SHEQ requirements, support strategic sourcing objectives, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to drive implementation and value realisation.
Critical Outputs
Administer tenders and support the end-to-end sourcing process.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions to deliver value, service continuity and risk mitigation.
Manage acquisition, utilisation and the value chain across products and services to ensure cost efficiencies.
Ensure effective price management and identify/drive cost saving initiatives across categories.
Engage with vendors to deliver quality, cost-effective products and services; manage vendor performance proactively in line with contract requirements.
Drive vendor compliance to SHEQ requirements and perform risk management where required.
Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to drive opportunity realisation and compliance to preferred agreements.
Provide procurement support informed by operational trends and issues (including service delivery issues, product complaints, serious reportable events and adverse events, where applicable.
Participate in new growth projects as required and support supplier development aligned to the organisation’s B‑BBEE and ESG priorities.
Requirements
Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a procurement role involving sourcing/tendering, contracting & vendor management.
Good computer proficiency especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
CIPS certification (level 2) would be advantageous.
Working experience within a hospital environment would be advantageous.
