Support Manager: Maintenance at Clover S.A. Proprietary Limited

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

• Support the execution of maintenance at all Clover production plants

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist branches to manage maintenance function in their areas of responsibility

• Ensure optimal maintenance approach and improvement techniques eg. OMM, RCM - training and execution
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of energy and services to facility/branch
• Manage maintenance function, engineering store where applicable
• Ensure that equipment comply with safety requirements
• Assist with problem solving and optimization of maintenance related problems on equipment and process
• Auditing of adherence to maintenance policies, procedures and strategies - annual maintenance audits as well as continuous monitoring of adherence
• Plan, improve, optimize and execute maintenance plans and strategies - improve maintenance index
• Assist with productivity improvement investigations where related to maintenance areas
• Establish continuous improvement practices and best practices and share with all Branches

Assist branches in managing maintenance budgets

• Assist with optimisation and reduction of the maintenance cost
• Assist with reduction of electrical, steam, water, etc. consumption
• Assist with management of engineering stock in existing, central and 2nd hand stores
• Assist with the management of the major maintenance and capex applications and monthly reconciliation

Assist branches to manage maintenance staff 

• Ensure optimal utilisation of staff through utilization of maintenance index
• Apply consistent discipline
• Train and develop staff on problem solving, completion of job cards, incident investigations, 5 why root cause analysis
• Conduct meetings and ensure effective communication to all when visiting Branches
• Liaise and communicate with management in all departments
• Provide leadership and training to all personnel in the maintenance teams where needed

Ad-hoc project management of Production projects and projects at branches

• Oversee the execution of projects within area of responsibility
• Liaise with PT&T in terms of projects executed at Branches
• Liaise with Branches regarding future projects and project plans

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy (Advanced)
• Experience in working with senior management
• Travel off-site/ overnight stay
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
