Surveillance Officer (Fixed Term Contract : 5 Months) (Half Day) at National Health Laboratory Services

Minimum Requirements and Key Competency

• Nursing qualification and registration SANC as a professional nurse
• Masters in Public Health/ Epidemiology or progress towards the said post graduate training (Desirable)
• Valid Driver’s license 
• 4 years post qualification experience in the relevant field 
• 2 years research/surveillance experience
• Epidemiology/Public Health experience 
• Supervision of Staff (Desirable) 
• Knowledge of surveillance and
• research methodologies (Desirable) 
• Knowledge of good clinical practice. Computer Literacy 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Atleast one vernacular besides English
• Crisis-intervention skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Counselling
• Attention to detail
• Ability work under pressure
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of data
• Administrative skills
