System Area 1 Manager -caledon at Overberg Water Board

Description

Operating as a member of the Waterworks System, reporting directly to the Technical Manager. The successful candidate will be required to lead and manage the following functions:

• Manage and Monitor the available Water Resources to meet customer demands
• Monitor and advise Water and Wastewater treatment operations
• Manage Water and Wastewater distribution to meet customer demands
• Perform general management and administrative functions to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Qualified and experienced to sign off projects reports such as inception, preliminary, close-out, final designs, and any other associated Engineering project reports.
• Assess and rehabilitate pumps and motors

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Educational level

•  N Diploma/B-Tech/BSc in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical engineering or equivalent
•  Registration with ECSA as a Professional Technician, Technologist or Engineer is compulsory.
•  Minimum 8 years water services experience or at least in a relevant infrastructure sector.
•  Minimum 5 years management experience in an infrastructure environment.
•  Project management experience with a good track record or equivalent with no less than 8 years water services experience.
•  Formal Management Qualification, i.e PMP or equivalent is an added advantage.
