    Systems Engineer

    Job requirements

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Be part of a dynamic team looking after the Indie Platform, responsibilities will include ensuring a secure, highly available, operationally stable and DR enabled environment
    • Scripting of the environment and implementing DevOps processes
    • Managing and coordinating projects
    • Spearhead performance and availability incidents
    • Support the platform team with CI/CD automation
    • Assist the platform team to identify opportunities for increasing application performance and ultimately client experience
    • Introduce innovation by staying abreast of industry trends as well as cloud platform innovation
    • Support the platform team in maintaining best practices
    • Assist the team with administrative and support tasks.

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • You have the ability to work on your own, sometimes spearheading a new direction with minimal guidance
    • 2 + years experience in architecting, securing and managing AWS
    • 2 + years experience with any Linux based operating system
    • You know how to optimise a platform to improve responsiveness
    • You have experience with Node.JS/Python/Bash
    • Cloud and DevOps certifications are a bonus
