    Team Lead Product Specialists Separations

    • As the Team Lead - Separations Product specialists, your role is to increase market share in traditional markets, identify and grow new market opportunities and to significantly grow the revenue base for the Separations service line offering in the market as well as directing your team in their day to day activities. Using your expertise in mineral processing, business development and selling, and leadership skills, you will strive to add value to our customers by continuously improving plant efficiency, availability and recoveries by leading a team of regional specialists through proactive auditing of customer sites, processes and equipment. 

    Job Scope:

    • Utilising your product and process expertise, undertake site audits, and provide debottlenecking and system optimisation studies, working with key clients to unlock their processes utilising FLSmidth technologies
    • Lead the development and implementation of the region profitable growth strategy over the product aftermarket lifecycle, with the support of the Services Group and Region.
    • Lead the day to day activities of the Product Specialists in your team
    • Strive for continuous improvements in our ‘Safety First ‘and Quality-focused culture. Grow and develop, engage and motivate a small, team (Regional Service Line Managers) to continually increase customer satisfaction. The clear focus is thorough execution to deliver results.
    • Be responsible for Business Development Planning and attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends to the business, for strategic work effort alignment.
    • Support and where required, travel with sales to customer sites and engineering firms to troubleshoot, develop partnerships, consult on system design, support start-up’s as necessary, and ensure proper aftermarket support is in place including warranty/quality issue resolution, for after sales support.
    • Provides win/lost and product service line P&L reporting and customer feedback to Global Service Line Managers including region market intelligence, competition activities, and suggested product offering and design improvement opportunities.
    • Enhance the potential of existing products by championing more effective production processes. Provide the end-to-end solution to make this change and engage all internal /external stakeholders, develop budgets and project manage the outcome within a set timeframe.

     What you bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or proven technical knowledge equivalent to a relevant discipline.
    • At least 10 years within the mineral processing industry. With the majority of this working in the comminution and extractive metallurgy fields with specialty in Sedimentation, and flotation required.
    • Experience across multiple mineral processing flowsheets (copper, nickel, gold, coal, iron ore etc)
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a business development role with a demonstrable success in growing the business through a strategic approach in building long term relationships.
    • Highly adept to process information gathering, sorting and analysis – deriving optimisation plans and delivering value to clients
    • Demonstrated business acumen to develop realistic business plans with stretch targets and the clear plan to reach those targets.
    • Highly developed sales skills with the ability to close deals and also willingness to support local sales team, and provide broader leadership upon behalf of the FLSmidth Service business Line Leadership Team.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail and astute, agile responses to regional and customer needs/trends.
    • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to work with customers, contractors and other personnel on a daily basis.
    • Experienced utilizing ERP database systems is desired ie. Epicor, SAP or similar systems.
