Technical Sales Support - Johannesburg at Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions

This role will focus on:

• You will be part of the frontline team that triages the communications on various platforms from Customers to the appropriate department.
• You will prepare quotations from direct customer enquiries or relayed assistance requests from sales engineers.
• You will be supporting customers and Sales Engineers with appropriate product related technical documentation from our extensive library.
• You will be assisting the Project Engineer in the preparation of Tender and Project documentation and related activities.
• You will be maintaining and strengthening current relationships with key customers and identifying new project opportunities.
• You will be responsible for supplying first tier technical support to customers and Sales Engineers during all phases of product presentation, being pump calculations, product quality/adherence, commissioning or breakdowns.
• You will be assigned other business and operations tasks as directed (Internal Projects on as and when basis)

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• You will need significant experience within the fluid processing industry or engineered products industry.
• You must ideally have a Mechanical or Technically related Degree or Diploma.
• You will need experience in Tender / quote, bid preparation and submission knowledge
• You will need to have excellent presentation and negotiation skills and be customer centric.
• You will require the ability to work unsupervised and remotely on occasions.
• You should display strong work ethics and an understanding of corporate requirements.
• You should be willing to take part in corporate community engagements.
• You must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• You will need to be familiar with the processes and application of a CRM system.
• You will need to have experience with at least a single ERP system.
