The incumbent will be responsible for facilitation and training of employees in terms of the technical, operational, food safety and safety aspects of the equipment and procedures in the McCain Delmas and Springs facilities. He/she will also be leading the training strategy, exploring new training technologies and processes as well as developing and implementing new training material and employee assessments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive operational safety and quality through operator assessments and training
Conduct thorough analysis of monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) trends and via Pareto Analysis identify the top opportunities to improve on
Provide technical support to Packaging and Technical Specialist in new projects and developments
Develop and Implement new training material for operators and supervisors
Train and assess existing operators and supervisors in their understanding and execution of Best Operating Practices
Plan and co-ordinate Operational training based on training needs
Develop and execute training plans in accordance with training needs
Continuous auditing of operators’ adherence to Best Operating Practices
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Food Science or relevant field of study
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 2 years’ experience facilitating and leading training
Valid EB Drivers License
Good Presentation Skills
Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
Good knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and processes
