Technician: Histology - Cedar Road at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

• To prepare and analyse specimens and maintain instruments in the Histology laboratory

Requirements:

• Certificate: Medical Technician, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment,
• Knowledge: Meditech system,
• Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain laboratory in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment, Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory,
• Receive and process specimens in order to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory
