Requirements:
Certificate: Medical Technician (Required), HPCSA registration: Supervised Practice Microbiology (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required)
Required Experience:
Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: Ampath Microbiology document system, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Perform general tasks in order to assist with maintaining best practice within the laboratory, Perform receiving and resulting tasks on the Meditech system in order to ensure correct handling, preparing and recording of specimen and results, Perform Serological identification typing tasks in order to ensure effective processing and resulting of serological bacterial typings, Process specimens on the benches in order to ensure sufficient delivery of results.
