Technician (Telecommunications): Welkom at FS Personnel Recruitment

• Our client in the telecommunication industry is seeking a skilled Technician to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications and related technical equipment.

Salary:

• R12 000 – R18 000 Basic, Plus Commission
• Plus, Medical Aid Contribution of 50% (after Permanent employment)
• Petrol allowance

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
• Relevant technical qualification (IT, Telecommunications, Electronics) – advantageous
• 1–3 years’ experience in a technical and telecommunications environment
• Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, routers, connectivity)
• Fluent in both Afrikaans & English (Speak, Read and Write)
• Valid driver’s license and Own Vehicle

Duties And Responsibilities

• Install and configure telecommunications equipment (routers, fiber, LTE devices, mobile solutions)
• Conduct site assessments prior to installations where required
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair technical faults and system failures
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
• Provide professional on-site and remote technical support to clients
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding issues and solutions
• Complete job cards, service reports, and installation documentation accurately
• Maintain records of work completed and parts used
• Manage tools, equipment, and company assets responsibly
• Monitor and report on stock levels of technical equipment and parts
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
