Temporary Life Sciences Teacher at Rustenburg Girls'​ High School

Description

• Rustenburg Girls’ High School is looking to replace an experienced Life Sciences teacher (Grade 8-12) in a WCED contract post while the permanent post is advertised through e-Recruit.  The following full time educator post is available for Term 2 of 2024 (possible extension to Term 3). 
• Only short-listed candidates will be contacted and invited to an interview and will be taken on a tour of the school and expected to teach a lesson.  We reserve the right not to fill the posts.

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in teaching the CAPs curriculum in the FET phase is essential (minimum five years preferred).
• Experience of teaching at Grade 12 level would be an advantage.
• Must be computer literate and competent in the use of technology for teaching and learning.
• Must be proficient in Engish as the language of teaching and learning. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• The successfull applicant will teach Natural and Life Sciences in Grades 8-12 as per the assigned timetable.
• The successful applicant will be expected to play a full role in the extra-mural life of the school, including as a Tutor in the Vertical Tutor System.
