Job Purpose:

Refine an existing test function into a world class test competency. Manage and maintain test team. Address quality throughout the enterprise. Responsible for testing computer software before it is made available to stakeholders. The aim is to design and execute test plans on computer applications and to detect and actively assist to resolve any concerns.

Role Responsibilities:

• Refine and enhance an existing test function

• Manage and maintain the test team.

• Propose and implement methodologies and/or processes that will ensure successful quality control.

• Propose to procure or build software and/or tools to support the test effort.

• Implement and support test enablement tools.

• Design test team structure within the boundaries of available resources.

• Successfully manage systems quality through testing and engagement throughout the development life cycle.

• Actively participate in the software development process. Design and execute tests on computer applications, to verify and validate that it meets the stated requirements/specifications.

• Involved in the software review process to assist with bug identification and presents it to the software development team.

• Record and document results and compare to expected results.

• Document anomalies and issues.

• Assist to identify database of software defects.

• Effectively communicate with project stakeholders that aspects related to the test plans.

• Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards and those standards set forth by upstream sources.

• Ensure industry regulations, company standards and all types of testing are considered in the test plan.

• Manage team members’ tasks and workload.

• Present formal required presentation, review and approval session, where project schedules, costs and duration estimates are updated, and the business objectives are revisited.

Preferred Requirements:

• Software and software systems experience and knowledge

• Payments or collections industry experience

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• A minimum of 4-5-years’ experience in Test Analyst or Test manager or similar role

• Prior exposure to range of test tools

• Diploma / Degree – Informatics or similar

• ISTQB Certified Tester certificate - Required

• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certificate - Preferred

• Project management skills

• Basic SQL understanding

• Leadership or mentorship experience
