Theatre Booking Clerk - Hillcrest at Busamed

Summary

The Theatre Stock Clerk is responsible for the daily booking of cases the theatre and catheterisation lab. This includes booking of beds in HC and ICU, preparation of theatre slates. The theatre Bookings clerk is responsible theatre stats. Liaising with doctors, their secretaries, employees, reps and patients. Is responsible for the cleanliness of the offices, change rooms and kitchen and ordering of doctor’s food. Is responsible for logging of maintenance issues and keeping track of work done. Responsible for answering the phones. Responsible for taking of minutes of meetings

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification

Work Experience

• Two years’ experience in a similar position will be advantageous
• Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous

Knowledge

• Intermediate computer skill
• Customer service orientated with high working standards
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adhere to principles and values at all time
• Ability to presenting and communicating information
• Writing down of stock items to be ordered
• Excel and Word
• Surgical scheduling
• Types of surgeries and procedures
• Liaise with company representatives, doctors and nursing staff in theatre
• Related house-keeping tasks
• All duties assigned by management from time to time
• Understanding of the POPIA and patient confidentiality
