Theatre Unit manager at Ntice Sourcing Solutions

Duties:

• Maintaining and improving standards in the operating theatre complex
• Manage all costs within the department
• Ensure correct billing, stock management and purchasing
• Facilitate Doctors' theatre list allocation
• Scheduling of operating theatre employees and support staff
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement
• Ensure relevant initiatives are developed
• Investigate all negative incidents and ensure they are captured on the system
• Ensure compliance with protocols, policies and acts
• Promote health and wellbeing of patients and staff
• Applying all aspects related to Human Resources
• Co-ordinate/facilitate IPC in the Operating Theatre Complex

Requirements:

• A relevant nursing qualification or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
• A relevant management qualification will be advantageous
• An intermediate level of Computer proficiency
• 2 or more years' experience in a private hospital setting
• Experience in clinical leadership
• Sound financial knowledge and the ability to interpret financial data
