Toolsetter at MA Automotive Tool & Die (Pty) Ltd

Primary purpose of the job:

• Set-up and operate all press machines for pressing of metal parts to meet production requirements according to company quality standards.

Key Performance Areas:

• Preparation and loading of tool
• Setting of press
• Operating press
• Work accordingly to the SOP that are related to the M2S system in your area  

Knowledge and Skills required:

• Understanding of verbal instructions
• Read and respond to basic written instructions
• Identify defects
• Understanding of press set-up works instructions
• Follow the M2S system
• Know what is required to have the correct PPE
• Ability to identify, describe and verbally report problems related to work activity and quality of product
• Ability to compare quality of part against master and or production sample
• Ability to add and subtract whole and positive numbers
• Ability to make sure of the 5S tag system
• Ability to work together as a team

Minimum Requirements: 

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum 3 months heavy press shop experience within an automotive environment
• In-house quality training
