    Trade Marketing Specialist

    As Trade Marketing Specialist South Africa, you’ll establish and maintain excellence in marketing activations across online and offline retail channels and DTC. You manage effective communication with external partners and agencies and internal cross-functions.

    Bold yet thorough, you’ll bring new ideas to the table that you’ll constantly refine to help us better engage with our customers. Your hands-on approach and ability to work with others will impact brand consideration and help our staff and partners in their everyday tasks.

    We’re looking for a trade marketing online and offline expert to bring their passion and knowledge to our team. You’ll ensure that brand content is produced to the highest standard and used to maximum effect across a wide range of channels.

    Based at our South African Headquarters in Cape Town and reporting to Shannon, Marketing Manager ASICS South Africa, as part of the role you’ll:

    • Influence the customer journey and drive the conversion funnel to ensure strong conversion of our product for all channels: retail, wholesale and e-commerce.
    • Build, implement and track the activation marketing plans for all channels aligned to their needs and goals, ensuring all projects and tools are delivered on time and bring ROI.
    • Market analysis; competitors, retail insights and digital innovations.
    • Toolbox creation and distribution.
    • E-trade activation plan: collect insights from retailers to tailor the plans to the different audiences.
    • Preparing brand content: banners, landings, creative assets and social media strategy for e-retailers in cooperation with the creative agency.
    • CRM in retailers: communication plan, recommendations for targeting, e-mails design
    • Digital performance campaigns management, reporting and analysis
    • Development & execution of test & learn e-trade instruments
    • In-store activation plan: standards, POS material development, equipment production and distribution management.
    • Lead localized projects such as Shoe finder, Front Runners, Footwear walls and Brand Trainer program
    • Briefing and collaboration with external creative agencies to get the best ROI in-store and online.
    • Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, Digital Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Sales.
    • Impactful visibility driving sell through more digital in-store and online; digital walls, QR codes, leading innovation.
    • Planning and reporting on spending budgets.

    What we’re looking for

    • Extensive experience in offline and online trade marketing within the Fashion, Retail, Sports, E-commerce, FMCG, Consumer Goods or Creative Digital Agency industry.
    • Experience and an example for others regarding e-commerce and digital marketing areas
    • Strong in strategic plan development and execution
    • Understanding of e-trade platform-tools & mechanics and their efficiency
    • Understanding of data exchange tools for performance marketing
    • Understanding of commerce & e-commerce and online shopper purchase path
    • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint user
    • Living in South Africa, near Cape Town
