Trainee Medical Technician

• Do you thrive under pressure? Are you highly observant and able to pick up on minor details or changes that others often overlook, if so this position is for you! If you are interested in becoming a Medical Technician and want positively impact people across the Western Cape, then the Western Cape Blood Service needs you!
• Two-Year Training Program available for individuals interested in becoming Medical Technicians within the Blood Bank Department. Successful applicants will be required to undergo training in our Training Laboratory and will be required to attain a minimum of a 70% average for all of the assessments in order to be deemed qualified for the program.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate (Maths & Life Science)
• An unendorsed Driving Licence will be advantageous
• A course in laboratory science would be advantageous
• Living in Cape Town or surrounding areas
• Computer literate

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Have a friendly disposition and show a keen interest in the work. 
• A willingness to work as part of a team is essential
• Attention to detail
