Transaction Manager at Absa

Job Description

Responsibility for managing a discrete portfolio of clients spanning the full range of corporate, leveraged, structured asset, preference shares and project finance transactions. The key responsibilities are as follows:

• Transaction Manager to ensure that they possess & maintain a solid understanding of the loan agreements and deal structure
• Ensure client requests are clearly understood and impact thereto as part of request assessment
• Provide thorough summaries and motivations to credit when seeking credit approvals
• Proactive engagement with credit, legal, product and coverage teams in resolving clients requests as appropriate
• Coordination of all life cycle events (not limited to draw, breakage, rate notification, cash breaks, etc)
• Assist internal teams with adhoc requests pertaining to portfolio
• Preferred candidate will have:
• Post graduate degree in Finance or Law or similar with minimum of 3 years of experience in Investment Banking ideally from Legal/Finance/Credit or Coverage Banking. A solid understanding of credit and loan documents is preferred. Sound analytical and Organisational skills essential

Education

• Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
