Job Description:
In this role you will enable the expansion of GSS by managing the transfer/transition of service responsibilities, ensuring a smooth handover of all relevant services in scope from the local finance teams in Business Units to GSS.
You will develop and deliver detailed transition of identified activities to GSS in line with the revised GSS Transition Methodology with clear milestones and timelines, identifying and managing interdependencies. You will facilitate quality, efficiency and cost reductions within the transferred tasks to ultimately enhance the collective value added from GSS to Anglo American.
This role also requires you to lead and manage a global diverse team of high-performing professionals within the talent management framework and people development way.
In this role you will own and coordinate the activities defined in the local transition plan; Lead GSS transition team in the development, delivery and capture of knowledge transfer; perform the on-site analysis between planned and actual knowledge transfer; track and manage all local issues and risks, escalating as appropriate.
This role is in the Global Shared Services Group Finance department at a Band 5 level reporting to the Manager: Global Support.
Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in Finance and/or Business Project disciplines.
Post graduate qualification – advantageous
Qualified accountant/ Accounting knowledge
Experience Required:
10+ years relevant project and transition experience with a minimum of 5 years project management/lead
Minimum 10 years Transition experience – Required
Subject Matter Expert experience in leading transition and transformation projects
Specialist knowledge of accounting and employee services service offerings
Good understanding of shared services and service management processes (performance management, service level management, customer surveys, continuous improvement, etc.)
Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, leading, and motivating teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Strong organisational, presentation, and customer service skills.
