Transport Controller (FTC) at DHL Supply Chain

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly Performance meetings with internal -and external stakeholders  
• Liaise with internal -and external service providers to ensure KPI’s are achieved
• Subcontractor management
• Monitor the status of shipments and truckloads to ensure they arrive on time and provide status updates to customers
• Site & Transport Planning and Coordination  
• Team & business continuity management   
• Provide assistance during leave periods, ensuring responsibilities are managed effectively
• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOP’s, and safety standards
• Communicate with internal -and external stakeholders regarding the schedules, documentation, and operational updates 
• Provide support to clients on queries
• On-time departure and delivery rate
• Ensure internal- and external system compliance and completeness
• Ensure parcels are packed, marked, and shipped to meet quality delivery commitments
• Continuous improvement
• POD Management   
• Due to the nature of the role, the individual may be required to work outside of normal operating hours as and when business needs arise

Qualifications

• Matric
• Degree equivalent

Experience

• 1-3 years’ experience in transport/ logistics environment
