Treasury Compliance Administrator at Unitrans

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or Business Administration (certificate, diploma, or degree).
• 3–5 years’ experience in a banking, treasury, or financial administration role.
• Practical experience with bank account administration and electronic banking platforms.
• Knowledge of treasury governance, mandates, and delegations of authority.

Advantageous

• Experience in a regulated or corporate treasury environment.
• Exposure to bank guarantees and SARB applications.
• Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews.

Duties & Responsibilities

Bank Account Administration

• Coordinate the opening, amendment, and closure of bank accounts in line with the approved Treasury Framework.
• Ensure all bank account requests are supported by approved mandates, resolutions, andrequired documentation.
• Maintain an up-to-date register of all bank accounts, including purpose, signatories, access rights, and status.
• Ensure timely closure of dormant, redundant, or unauthorised bank accounts.

Online Banking User Access & Bank Profile Management

• Administer electronic banking user access, including user creation, amendment, suspension, and removal.
• Ensure segregation of duties is enforced between initiators, approvers, and releasers.
• Maintain accurate records of online banking access rights and approvals.
• Perform periodic user access reviews and follow up on remediation actions.
• Administer banking profiles, including facilitating new profiles and amendments to existing profiles.
• Review the banking profiles to ensure standardisation

Manual Signatories and Bank Mandates

• Maintain authorised signatory lists and bank mandates in accordance with approved delegations of authority.
• Ensure manual signatories are updated following organisational or personnel changes.
• Coordinate the submission and confirmation of updated mandates with banks.
• Retain supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Bank Guarantees

• Administer the application, amendment, renewal, and cancellation of bank guarantees.
• Ensure bank guarantees are approved in line with the Treasury Framework and delegated authority limits.
• Maintain a complete register of all bank guarantees, including expiry dates, values, beneficiaries, and conditions.
• Monitor expiry dates and coordinate renewals or cancellations timeously.

Reserve Bank Applications and Regulatory Submissions

• Prepare and submit applications to the South African Reserve Bank (or applicable authority) as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all submissions, approvals, and correspondence.
• Track application statuses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines.

Compliance, Reporting and Controls

• Ensure all activities comply with the Treasury Framework, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and evidence.
• Identify control gaps, non-compliance, or process inefficiencies and escalate appropriately.
• Assist in maintaining treasury procedures and process documentation
