UI/UX Developer - Midrand at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

Job Description

• Dis-Chem Pharmacies Midrand has an opportunity available for a UI/UX Developer. Development, maintenance and improvement of CJ Marketing’s client projects in mostly WordPress, including the MERN Stack.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate.
• BSc in Computer science, Computer Engineering or related
• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development
• Cloud Certification (AWS, Google, Azure)
• Minimum 3 years of experience with PHP and PHP frameworks, web services

Job Description 

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end code for the web
• Work closely with designers to bring UI mockups to life with pixel-perfect accuracy
• Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability
• Ensure cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Stay up-to-date on front-end trends and best practices
• Strong competency of the use of custom post types.

Competencies: 

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery and WordPress/PHP
• Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards
• Professional experience in front-end development that can convert transactions from users.
• Communicate in a confident and forceful manner in order to achieve the required goal without being aggressive.
• Builds constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Computer Skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery and WordPress/PHP. Proficiency in developing in React Advantage: Access, RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
