In this role, you will manage a team under a shared vision for innovation and operational excellence. You will lead a team executing on core base-business deliverables and initiatives while continually optimising our processes and prioritising our people. The role reports to the Head of UK Analytical Editorial Operations.
Responsibilities
Leading a team of South Africa-based editors to create, maintain, and deliver exceptional analytical content for Legal and Tax Markets portfolios and exam materials for Tolley Learning Academy.
Guiding the team in driving content innovations and enhancing operational effectiveness, including leveraging generative AI and automation for efficient content editing and management
Setting and elevating expectations for team performance and operational success; managing metrics dashboards and production schedules; setting and tracking productivity goals; ensuring content produced by your team adheres to prescribed quality, timeliness, and completeness targets.
Fostering the development of an integrated global team to maximise operational value by sharing and embracing best practices and tools and continuously evaluate and improve digital and print workflows.
Developing a team cross-trained on analytical editorial operations functions that will enable the ability to flex through production surges within and across business units.
Conducting regular coaching sessions, mid-year reviews and annual evaluations for all directs to elevate sustained performance and collaborative culture.
Collaborating closely with commercial (in-market) stakeholders and Global Operations and Global Tech teams
Collaborating closely with the Analytical Editorial Operations Manager (UK-based)
Requirements
Have a bachelor’s degree in law with 5+ years of people management experience
Have publishing or content experience
Show strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Able to synthesise relevant information for Global Editorial Operations and commercial leaders.
Have excellent organisation/project planning, time management and data analysis skills
Be process-orientation (developing consistent processes, documenting best practices, etc.)
Have experience in supporting a team through organisational transformation/change.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience using project management software such as Monday.com or Asana; XML a plus
