Unidata (U2) Developer (PB Tech Lending - Finance) (8280) at Investec Asset Management

Description of the role 

• Investec Sandton is looking for a U2 Developer – Unidata / Universe (at least 5 years' experience) who will look after the full application life cycle including the evaluation of business requirements, system analysis and design, writing of technical specifications, programming, testing, maintenance, and technical support of our client's applications as well as Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks with high attention to detail is required.

Experience, skill and capability

•   5+ Years Unidata / Universe development experience in a cross section of Application environments, preferably in the Banking or Financial arena
•   Good understanding of the U2 Tool Set
•   Good knowledge of what capabilities are available within the industry for U2
•   Strong skills in Unidata BASIC Programming 
•   Understanding of simple UNIX (Solaris) commands would be beneficial
•   Understanding of System Builder
•   Good understanding of the SDLC and experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies is essential
•   Collaboration on Business and Functional Specifications with Business Analysts
•   Collaboration and compilation of Technical Specifications with technical leads and other teams
•   Ensure that the standard IT processes are followed
•   Development and configuration experience in U2 (Unidata / Universe) of changes including new developments, maintenance and enhancements is essential
•   Provision of Support to business in terms of assisting with queries and supporting testers with environment trouble shooting
•   Providing after hours stand-by support Ci/CD experience beneficial
•  Experience in Banking Operations functions would be beneficial
