• Fine Chemicals requires the services of a highly competent Utilities Artisan for the Engineering Department.  To qualify for this position, suitable candidates must fulfil the following requirements

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• NTC 4 (N4) or formal Trade Certificate as Fitter, Fitter and Turner, or Millwright.
• Must have 2-3 years’ relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of Utility systems, preferably within Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), FMCG, Chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.
• Demonstrate competence in the operation of HFO boilers, Air Compressors, Pump systems, and Refrigeration equipment.
• Experience with Purified water and/or HVAC systems is beneficial.
• SAP knowledge is advantageous
• OHS Act and safe working practices, and general industrial health and safety.

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary):

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and tasks per maintenance plan and work orders on time and to the required standards.
• Execute breakdown work orders within the target repair time and to the required standards.
• Conduct tests to diagnose and determine the cause of equipment breakdown.
• Isolate, remove, and replace defective components.
• Provide and submit brief descriptions of work performed on work orders.
• Conduct root cause analysis in case of machinery failure and quality deviations.
• Ensure the utilities workshop tools and assets are maintained to standard.
• Determine spare parts, material requirements, and any special equipment necessary to maintain the equipment.
• Create requisitions for spare parts and consumables.
• Install, test, commission, and validate equipment.
• Execute any project-related work as directed and to the required standard.
• Operation of utilities equipment and systems.
• To operate, maintain and manage Utility systems on site
• Ensure Utility systems are available to all stakeholders and kept functional at all times.
• Ensure full compliance and execution of the company's maintenance programmes, policies, and procedures on all designated work.
